Franciscans of Halifax Language selection: Our History....Part 3 After this novitiate there were others who began theirs, and soon the need to split up the groups became evident. This on-going growth has continued until now. Right now our community has 19 members: 8 brothers and 11 Sisters. All this time, we have lived on charitable donations and the good-heartedness of people. Thanks to God, we have never lacked anything; on the contrary, oftentimes there was more than needed, and the generosity of the people has never stopped. We Franciscans experienced the truth that the Lord never abandons those who entrust themselves into His care. The next generation (from left to right): Nita, Georgia, Br. Grant, Br.
